Connecting to eduroam

Eduroam allows users to access the internet wirelessly from thousands of locations in over 100 countries around the world. Using 星空影视email credentials, users can access eduroam at 星空影视locations in Edmonton, Athabasca, and at BVC in Calgary. There are over 600 eduroam service locations in Canada alone.

Tips

  • You will need to activate your 星空影视Microsoft 365 account to access eduroam.
  • Please follow the instructions below to connect to eduroam with your 星空影视account. Selecting the eduroam wireless network and entering your 星空影视credentials will not work.
  • We recommend running the setup when you are already online. You do not need to be in an area covered by eduroam to set up your device.
  • Sometimes the eduroam connection set up will need to be repeated. If you plan to visit an eduroam site, and have not connected for a while or have changed your password, you may want to perform the set up steps again to ensure you will be able to connect.

Steps to connect to eduroam

  1. Use a web browser and go to .
  2. Click and download the eduroam installer.
  3. Select Athabasca University from your organization list. Search for the organization’s name if required.

  4. Select the appropriate user group profile from the list.
  5. The installer will be automatically generated for your machine. Click eduroam to start downloading the application.

    Note: Click Choose another installer to download for different operating system options.
  6. Click the direct link if the application is not downloaded.
  7. Locate the downloaded executable file and double click to start the installation.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click OK to confirm, then add your 星空影视email address and password, and click Install.


    Note: Your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca.
  10. Click Finish.

Note: If your 星空影视password has changed, repeat the above steps and enter your 星空影视email and new password when prompted.

  1. Use a web browser and go to .
  2. Click and download the eduroam installer.

  3. Select Athabasca University from your organization list. Search for the organization’s name if required.

  4. Select the appropriate user group profile from the list.
  5. The installer will be automatically generated for your machine. Click eduroam to start downloading the application.

    Note : Click Choose another installer to download for different operating system options.
  6. Click the direct link if the application is not downloaded.
  7. Open your downloads folder in Finder and double-click on the profile named:
    1. For Staff: eduroam-OS_X-Athabasca_University-Athabasca_University_Staff_CAT_Profile.mobileconfig.
    2. For Students: eduroam-OS_X-Athabasca_University-Athabasca_University_Student_CAT_Profile.mobileconfig

  8. A pop window will appear. Click OK.
  9. Click the apple icon located on the screen’s top left, then click System Settings.

    Note: For staff members your email should end with @athabascau.ca and for students your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca. No MFA (multi-factor authentication) is needed for 星空影视staff in this process.
  10. Select General from the left side bar, then select Device Management.
  11. Double-click on the eduroam® entry in the Downloaded section.
  12. Click Install, then click Continue.

  13. Enter your 星空影视email address and password, then click Install.

    Note: For staff members your email should end with @athabascau.ca and for students your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca. No MFA (multi-factor authentication) is needed for 星空影视staff in this process.
  14. Click Install one more time to confirm entering your correct 星空影视email address.
  15. Enter your local MacOS username and password then click OK.
  16. The profile will be installed successfully, and you should now be able to connect to all eduroam networks.

    Note: If your 星空影视password has changed, repeat the above steps and enter your 星空影视email and new password when prompted.

  1. Use a web browser and go to .

  7. Open your downloads folder in Finder and double-click on the profile named: eduroam-OS_X-Athabasca_University-Athabasca_University_Student_CAT_Profile.mobileconfig.
  8. A pop window will appear. Click on it to ignore and close.
  9. Click the apple icon located on the screen’s top left, then click System Settings.
  10. Select Privacy and Security from the left side bar, then click Profiles.
  11. Double-click on the eduroam® entry in the Downloaded section.
  12. Click Install, then click Continue.

  13. Enter your 星空影视email address and password, then click Install.

    Note: Your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca.
  14. Click Install one more time to confirm entering your correct 星空影视email address.
  15. Enter your local MacOS username and password then click OK.
  16. The profile will be installed successfully, and you should now be able to connect to all eduroam networks.

  9. Click the apple icon located in the upper left hand corner, then click System Preferences.
  10. Select Profiles from the list.
  11. Double-click on the eduroam® entry in the Downloaded section, then click Install.
  12. Enter your 星空影视email address and password, then click Install.

    Note: Your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca.
  13. Click Install one more time to confirm entering your correct 星空影视email address.
  14. Enter your local MacOS username and password then click OK.
  15. The profile will be installed successfully, and you should now be able to connect to all eduroam networks.

  1. Use your phone web browser (Safari is recommended) and go to .
  2. Click and download the eduroam installer.
  3. Search and select Athabasca University from your organization list.
  4. Select the appropriate user group profile from the list.
  5. The installer will be automatically generated for your device. Click eduroam to start downloading the application.
  6. Click Allow to download a configuration profile onto your device.
  7. Once the profile is downloaded, go to your phone’s settings, and click General.

  8. Click VPN & Device Management.
  9. Select eduroam® under the DOWNLOADED PROFILE section, then click Install.

  10. Enter your iPhone’s passcode, then click Done.
  11. Click Next, then click Install.

  12. Enter your 星空影视email address, then click Next.

    Note: Your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca.
  13. Enter your 星空影视email password, then click Next.

The following are general steps; your experience may differ slightly depending on your android device type.

  1. Click and open the Play store on your android device.
  2. Search for the geteduroam app and click Install to start the installation process.
  3. Once the app is installed, open it, and then search for Athabasca University.
  4. Select the appropriate Profile from the list and click CONNECT.
  5. Enter your 星空影视email address and password, then click Log In.

    Note: Your email should end with @learn.athabascau.ca.
  6. Click Allow to add eduroam to suggested Wi-Fi Networks.
  7. Finally, you will be connected successfully to eduroam network.

Note: If your 星空影视password has changed, repeat the above steps and enter your 星空影视email and new password when prompted.

  3. Select Athabasca University from your organization list. Search for the organization’s name if required.

    Locate and install the app.
