Overview

This course provides accounting fundamentals and its function within Indigenous organizations and communities. It introduces accounting principles and practices and their application in management, planning, and budgeting. The course serves as a primer to comprehensive introductory accounting courses and further courses in accounting. It also intends to provide some frameworks for using accounting information in planning, budgeting, and drafting proposals.

Evaluation

Your final grade in INBU 250 is determined by a weighted average of the grades you receive on three written assignments. To receive credit for INBU 250, you must achieve a minimum overall grade of D (50 percent) or better for the entire course.

Materials

This course either does not have a course package or the textbooks are open-source material and available to students at no cost. This course has a Course Administration and Technology Fee, but students are not charged the Course Materials Fee.
